9 Days Golden Triangle Birding

The tour combines Kathmandu -Chitwan Jungle – Pokhara Valley, known as birder’s golden triangle,  covering four IBAs, hill forests, rivers, streams, lakes & most spectacular scenery of the Himalayan range. Phulchoki, Shivapuri, and Bosan hills & slopes offer birders endemic and rare sighting & beautiful hike. And birders can also enjoy hovering vultures and birds of prey above the hills surrounding the valleys.

Habitat: Tropical Jungle, Wetlands, Dense scrub, subtropical & moist broadleaved, temperate forest, lakes, rivers & farmland.

Birds: Striated bulbul, Black-faced Warbler, Rufous-chinned Laughingthrush, Grey-throated Babbler, Himalayan Cutia, Hoary-throated Barwing, Black-throated Parrotbill, Nepal Fulvetta, Yellow-bellied flowerpecker, Golden-naped Finch, Longtail Broadbill, Scarlet Finch, Brown Bullfinch, Spiny Babbler, Kalij pheasant, Speckled Piculet, Spotted, Little and Slaty-backed Forktail, Green Magpie, Upland Pipit, Yellow-breasted Bunting, Blue-naped Pitta, Vultures, birds of Prey & more.

Birding Sites: Shivapuri (2730m), Phulchoki (2760m), Godavari Forest, Bosan, Trisuli River, Pokhara, Australian Camp (2227m), Dhampus (1650m), Astham, Fewa Lake.

14 Days Langtang Valley Alpine Birding

Langtang is a valley laying between Himalayan Peaks close to the Tibetan border and the scenery upper valley most spectacular. Most of the hike is in the Langtang National park. The trail first passes through Boradlaved forest, coniferous forest and finally through alpine meadows and moraine. The greatest variety of birds can be seen by combining the Gosainkund lake & Langtang valley.

Habitat: Lower & upper temperate broadleaved forests; subalpine forests of fir; rhododendron, birch, & juniper; alpine scrub of rhododendron& juniper and alpine grassland. Rivers, streams and riverbeds

Birds: Blood Pheasant, Satyr Tragopan, Himalayan Monal, Brown-capped Woodpecker, Yellow-rumped honeyguide, woodsnipe, Ibis Bill, Pied Thrush, Nepal Wren Babbler, Mrs Gould Sunbird, Yellow-bellied flowerpecker, Spot-winged rosefinch, scarlet finch, fire-tailed Sunbird, Tibetan & Himalayan Snowcock, Laughing thrushes.
